The Okawville Rockets Jr. High Boys put up a fight against the Wesclin Warrios on their 8th grade night. The are three 8th graders for the Jr. Rockets, Landen Shubert and Micheal Marler, along with manager Braxton Rennegarbe. The 8th grade cheerleaders are Abigail Brennfleck and Alexis Jarden. At the beginning of the 8th grade game in the first quarter, the Rockets were taking a lead by four, but after some fast breaks and trouble rebounding, the Rockets were down at the end of the quarter 14-8.  In the second quarter, the boys were struggling to regain the lead. The Rockets managed to make a shot in the 2nd quarter, but Wesclin took the lead at 21-10. At halftime, Braylen Turner had scored four points, Landen Shubert had three points, Zayden Cepada had 2, and Aiden Foley had one. When the third quarter rolled around, the Rockets managed to score eight points to the Warriors ten. At the end of the third quarter, the Warriors were up 31-18. In the final quarter, the Warriors continued their scoring streak pulling off a win 51-21. The end of the game point scores had Landen Shubert leading with ten points, Braylen Turner and Teren Schwankhaus with four points. Zayden Cepada with two points and Aiden Foley with one point.  Congratulations to our 8th graders on all their accomplishments in junior high sports!
