The Jr. Rockets started regionals on Monday, January 24. Okawville played at Albers/Damiansville against Germantown. The Jr Rockets were down in the first quarter 11-4. In the second quarter, the Bulldogs took over the game and made the score 23-14. In the 3rd quarter, the Jr. Rockets just couldn’t take over the game and ended the quarter with a score of 39-22.  The 4th quarter began and the Jr. Rockets just couldn’t lower the lead and ended the game with a score of 44-29. 

I interviewed Coach Barkau about his input on the season. He replied, “I felt the season was a learning experience for all of us. I hope the two eighth-graders learned a lot and are prepared for the next level when they get to high school. I hope the sixth and seventh graders learned what it is like to play a full eighth-grade season and will be ready come next year.” 

The Jr. Rockets ended their season with a record of 4-20.
