OHS Track and Field Begins Practice

Lydia Luechtefeld, Staff Writer

As winter sports are brought to a close, track season is just getting started for students at Okawville High School. This week begins the practice for a hopefully promising track season for athletes at OHS. There are 17 girls and 6 boys on the varsity track team. The team will be coached by Jodi Luechtefeld and the Okawville High School Spanish teacher, DeAnna Holm.

In an interview with Sra. Holm, she states, “We are looking forward to an exciting season, we have a lot of new talent, and also returning athletes that have both conference and state experience. This season looks like an exceptionally competitive season.”

Good luck to the OHS track and field team this season!
