Mr. Reed Recker is the Okawville band and choir teacher. Mr. Recker has been in the position for 4 years now. He directs all bands here at Okawville: Begining Band, Fifth/Sixth grade Band, Junior High Band, and High School Band.  He also teaches Junior High Choir and High School Choir.

Mr. Recker has made many improvements and adjustments to forward the music program here at Okawville.  He directs and plays along with the OHS Pep Band at Rocket and Lady Rocket basketball games.  Mr. Recker also started a Jazz Band this year to allow students who are interested to learn about the style of jazz and to play music outside of school as well.

Some of his hobbies include fishing, hanging out with family, and working on the farm. Mr. Recker enjoys teaching band and learning more information about music from his students.
