The 7th-grade volleyball team has been doing well this year. Head coach Debbie Frederking stated, “I think they are doing great. They are a great aggressive team with strong serves, hustle attitude, and an advanced sense of the game.”

On Monday, February 14, 2022, the Okawville Junior Lady Rockets played Nashville Middle School and had a great win in two sets. The following week they played in a tournament at Red Bud, where they finished third place in the 16 team bracket.

The Junior Lady Rockets are doing great in their season so far with a record of 12-3 going into the Wesclin tournament. In the first game, they played Wesclin and won in two sets. Then in the semifinals, they played Mascoutah and had a close game but won in three sets. For the championship game, they played Highland Middle School and had another close game but won in three sets.

After the Wesclin tournament, they played Albers/Damiansville and won in two sets. The following day, Okawville played Aviston and lost in two sets.

In their last game of the season, they played ASA and won in three sets. They ended their 7th-grade season with a record of 20-4. Great Job to the 7th-grade volleyball team this season!
