The Okawville Jazz Band, directed by Mr. Reed Recker, has been working hard this year. They have a gig on the 25th at the Addieville fish fry and another show later in the year. The members of the band are Kristen Althoff, Paige Riechman, Alyssa Gavin, Katie Forgy, Alyssa Statler, Sidney Charles, Landan Pierce, John Schaller, Nolan Frantz, Kyle Schwab, Laura Cook, Laurie Mueth, Thor Gavin, Kylie Langenstein, Sarah Cook, Nora Wood, and Calvin Maynard. 

The band will perform at the spring concert again this year as well. Every member had a chance to solo in a variety of songs for each performance, and they continue to blow us away with their improvised rhythms and licks.
