On Thursday, March 24, 2022, the Okawville Student Council helped work the blood drive in the Luechtefeld Gym from 10 am to 3 pm.  If you were 16 or older you could donate blood.  Student Council helped by checking people in and helping with snacks and drinks.  Some students in Student Council came down to the blood drive to help during homeroom.

There was a great turnout for the blood drive.  49 people showed up to give blood, but only 38 people were able to give blood.  Zoe Todd, Student Council president, worked the blood drive all day.  I asked Zoe if she enjoyed working the blood drive and she said, “Yes, I really enjoyed working the blood drive. It was super fun seeing all of my classmates and everyone else donate. I loved helping everyone, and everybody working it was super nice and comforting.”
