Justice Altenbaumer, Junior High Editor

Mrs. Sarah Stine recently moved to Okawville from Pennsylvania and started teaching Jr. High and High School at Okawville. She teaches Jr. High Language Arts and Literature and High School Fundamentals of English. She’s taught 6th, 7th, and 8th in the past and elementary kids at a Bible school and a dance school.

Mrs. Stine first started teaching in 2009. She started teaching because she liked editing papers, and she wanted to help kids. Before she started teaching, she worked for two different newspapers and was a bank teller. She says, “I’m really excited to be here because the reason we moved from Pennsylvania to here was that my husband grew up here, and we wanted our daughter, Juliette, to grow up here.”

Mrs. Stine is 35 years old and lives with her husband, daughter, and 2 cats at a house down the street from the school. Her cats’ names are Sparkles and Blue. Outside of teaching, she reads, gardens, and does crafts. Teaching dance was one of her favorite things to do before she became a mom and moved to Illinois.
