Okawville Grade School is looking a little different this year with teachers moving around and new teachers coming into the school year.

 I interviewed Mrs. Rossel, the new fourth-grade teacher. I started off by asking, “Where have you taught before Okawville and what grades have you taught?” She answered, “I taught 3rd grade at Sparta for 3 years and jr. high and 4th grade at Damiansville for 11 years.” I then asked her, “What made you want to teach at Okawville?” She replied, “I was born and raised in Okawville and reside here still with my family. I have always loved being a Rocket! I wanted to be part of a great school and watch my children grow and learn.” The last question I asked her was, “Why did you become a teacher?” She responded, “I love learning and I enjoy kids. So, from very early on, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. It’s my passion, and I can’t imagine doing anything else.” Mrs.Rossel is a great fit for our staff here at Okawville!
