Junior High Boys Baseball Winning Streak Leading up to 8th grade Night

After a rocky start to their 2022 season, the Boy’s Junior High Baseball team rallied with a four-game winning streak, beating Marrisa, Hoyleton, Lebanon, and Carlyle. The boys had a great win against Marrisa taking the win with the score of ten to seven to start their winning streak. Braylen Turner pitched a skillful game throwing five innings. Braylen Turner also had nineteen first-pitch strikes, while striking out three batters. Kaden Buehler came in to throw the last two innings to secure the win. The boys had some great hits that helped them throughout the game. Ayden Foley and Caleb Hagerty each had one hit. Clay Maynard was walked twice, and Caleb Hagerty got walked once. Braylen Turner had two RBIs and two walks to pull through the win. 

The boys got their next big win against Hoylton, winning five to four. Caleb Hagerty pitched a talented game, throwing thirteen first-pitch strikes while having eight strikeouts during five innings. Blake Carrico came in for the last two innings with five first-pitch strikes. The bats were hot this game with Braylen Turner, Blake Carrico, and Clay Maynard leading with two hits each. Ayden Foley and Aidan Killion both walked once. Blake Carrico had two RBIs and Rigden Senior had one. The boy’s third win of the streak was against Lebanon, where they defeated them thirteen to one. Kaden Buehler pitched four innings with eight first-pitch strikes and three strikeouts. Ayden Foley and Caleb Hagarty lead with one hit. Braylen Turner had two RBIs and two walks. Clay Maynard got walked twice and Caleb Hagarty got walked once to get their third win of the streak.

In the last game of the streak, the boys played Carlyle. Clay Maynard pitched six innings with thirteen first-pitch strikes with seven strikeouts. Kaden Buehler came in for the last inning with three strikeouts. Braylen Turner had two hits and one RBI, Clay Maynard also added an RBI. Clay Maynard and Rigden Senior both got walked once to help the boys secure the win. They beat Carlyle with a score of 6-1

 The junior high baseball team celebrated their 8th-grade night on Wednesday, September 14th, against Centralia. The 8th-grade boys this year were Braylen Turner, Clay Maynard, Kaden Buehler, Blake Carrico, and Gunner Malott. Ayden Foley pitched against Centralia, he battled through four innings but unfortunately gave up nine runs. Ayden Foley had fifteen first-pitch strikes and three strikeouts. Caleb Hagerty came in to relieve Foley for the last innings and threw four first-pitch strikes with two strikeouts.
