Rocket Golf Wins Conference

On September 21st, the Okawville High School boys’ golf team won the Cahokia Conference Tournament. In the Illinois Division, the team competed and won with a final score of 341. Senior Dillon Teter and Junior Parker Lehde tied and went into a playoff hole.  With the lowest score of 82, Dillon Teter took home the individual conference title. In the individual conference, Parker Lehde finished in second place.

At the Roland Barkau Memorial Golf Course, the yearly Okawville Invitational was held on August 26. Three teams competed: Okawville, Marissa, and Red Bud. Okawville won, achieving a score of 353. Parker Lehde scored 72, the lowest individual score. With a 74, Dillon Teter was two strokes behind.

The boys’ golf team made the trip to Nashville on September 8th to take part in the Nashville Invitational Tournament. There were eleven teams competing, and Okawville and Steeleville tied for fourth place. With a score of 37, Dillon Teter tied for third place individually. 

The Okawville High School boys’ golf team’s season is about to come to an end. The regional tournament for the boys’ golf team officially begins on September 28 at Governors Run in Carlyle.
