Art Club Brings Back Drawlloween

Lynnsie Talley, Staff Writer

Drawlloween was created by Dan Kramer, the art teacher at OHS, about 3 or 4 years ago. It was inspired by Inctober, which was created by Jake Parker. For Drawlloween, each week there is a different prompt for students to draw. Students also get candy for participating. Drawlloween is an opportunity for students to express themselves creatively during the fall season. It is about letting yourself loose and being creative. It encourages students to be a kid again and enjoy the season.

Each year around 40 to 50 students participate in Drawlloween, but Mr. Kramer would love to see even more students get involved. He encourages the students by saying, “Don’t be nervous to be creative.” Making the choice to participate in Drawlloween will help your artistic ability. After all, “The more you practice the better you get,” said Mr. Kramer.
