An Okawville Tradition – The ROLLER COASTER

Macie Staley, Staff Writer

The Okawville Jr. Sr. High School had its Homecoming pep rally on the 18th of November to show off its school spirit before the big dance. There were lots of fun activities! The girls’ and boys’ basketball teams, cheerleading squad, and Homecoming court introduced themselves.

Then the games began.  The senior boys won the relay race. Musical chairs consisted of multiple students from each grade with Lexy Borrenpohl as the winner. Five teachers were hit in the face with cream pies by students as well. Mr. Dudeck was hit by Olivia Bruck, Mr. Tebbe was pied by Braxton Rennegarbe, Mrs. Bowers was pied by Jordyn Heckert, Mr. Laughlin was pied by Aidan Anderson, and Mr. Senior was pied by Rylan Senior. Finally, students played tug of war and finished the day with the iconic OZONE roller coaster. It was a great day, full of rocket spirit and orange and blue.
