Senior Class Trip Returns to D.C. and New York

Megan Rennegarbe, Staff Writer

As the fourth quarter begins and the end of the year approaches, the senior trip is a major annual event the senior class gets to enjoy. After the trip not being able to occur in the past years, the trip to New York and Washington D.C. returns. There is a total of 14 students attending this year and they couldn’t be more excited about the experience.

The agenda is packed with fun and exciting stops and visits. They will be leaving on the morning of April 9th and will be flying instead of taking a bus. They have made this change because of the pricing changes and flying being overall cheaper. They will go to Washington D.C. first and visit many popular places. After 2 days, they will travel to New York via bus. They will once again visit many tourist attractions as well as go to a Broadway show. On April 13th, the kids will once again return home via plane.

DeeAnna Holm, the Okawville Spanish teacher, will be the chaperone for the trip as she knows the travel company very well and has worked with them in the past. The students are excited to spend some time with their fellow classmates and hopefully make some lifelong memories.
