The OHS book club is run by freshman leaders: Schae Juenger, Jilien Harre, and Kenley Hackstadt. The three books being read in the book club are: Stick Together by: Jon Gordon taught by Kenley, The Positive Dog by Jon Gordon taught by Schae, and The Coffee Bean by Jon Gordon taught by Jilien. The books are read by the whole 8th-grade class. They are used to help them gain leadership skills and collaboration skills. Stick Together teaches the kids about being there for one another and working together as a team. The Positive Dog teaches kids about being positive, giving each other confidence, and helping them work toward their goals. The Coffee Bean teaches kids about how to transform their environment into a more positive one. The book club is a great way to teach kids how to be better leaders and to be more positive people.
