The High School Boys’ basketball team ended their regular season on Tuesday, February 13, against Carlyle. After that game, the postseason started.
The boys hosted the first round of regionals, against Norris City-Omaha-Enfield (NCOE). The boys went into the game confident and took the game away with a 56 to 47 win on February 19.
After that, the boys went to Woodlawn for the semi-finals. They played the tough Woodlawn team on February 21. It was back and forth for most of the game, but Okawville took the win 56-52.
After that game, the boys were headed to the regional championship against Waltonville. The boys knew they were a good team, and that they needed to work hard. The boys worked and never gave up, but the ending score was 52-26 Waltonville.
Thank you to the seniors for four years of hard work. They will be greatly missed, and we look forward to seeing how they continue in the future. We are excited to see what the future holds for the boys’ basketball teams in the coming years!
