The golf season has officially started for the boys. There are 11 boys on the team. The boys opened their season with their match at Carlyle on August 15. Parker Wiese shot a 35, Teren Schwankhaus shot a 44, Reid Hemann shot a 51, Braylen Turner shot a 53, Caleb Hagarty shot a 56, and Hayden Heintz shot a 58. Wiese placed 1st at the match.
On August 19, the boys had their home opener against Marissa and Freeburg. Okawville as a team got 2nd. Hayden Heintz shot a 36, Parker Wiese shot a 40, Braylen Turner shot a 41, Teren Schwankhaus shot a 42, Reid Hemann shot a 46, and Caleb Hagarty shot a 46.
On Tuesday, August 20, the boys had a match against Sparta and Carlyle. Okawville placed 2nd out of 3 teams. Teren Schwankhaus shot a 40, Parker Wiese shot a 42, Hayden Heintz shot a 44, Braylen Turner shot a 46, Caleb Hargarty shot a 57, and Reid Hemann shot a 57.
Then on Thursday, the boys had a JV match against Marissa and Nashville. The JV team got 3rd. Caleb shot a 40, Braxton Rennegarbe shot a 42, James d’Entremont shot a 43, Andrew Bunch shot a 45, Jack Schuetz shot a 48, and Bennett Schuetz shot a 48. Good luck with the rest of the season!
The girls’ golf season has also started. The girls have 7 on the team. The girls started their season with a 2 person scramble in Alton on August 17th. Kaylie Behrman and Delaney Kuhn shot a 77, Bella Muniz and Lilly Cragen shot a 78, and Kaylyn Cragen and Lily Helbig shot an 86.
On Tuesday, August 20, the girls had their home opener against Carlyle. Kaylie Behrman shot a 40, Bella Muniz shot a 42, Lilly Cragen shot a 45, Kaylyn Cragen shot a 49, Delaney Kuhn shot a 49, Lily Helbig shot a 50, and Rylan Senior shot a 64. Kaylie Berhman got 1st in the match. Also on Thursday, August 22, the girls had an Invitational tournament at Nashville. Okawville got 5th out of 13 teams, shooting 194. Kaylie Behrman shot a 45, Bella Muniz shot a 47, Kaylyn Cragen shot a 50, Delaney Kuhn shot a 52, Lilly Cragen shot a 57, and Lily Helbig shot a 61. On Friday, August 23, the girls had a tournament at The Orchards in Belleville. This was an 18-hole tournament. Kaylie Behrman shot a 90, Bella Muniz shot a 94, Lilly Cragen shot a 96, Kaylyn Cragen shot a 102, Delaney Kuhn shot a 103, and Lily Helbig shot a 120.
