Let’s bring some new cheers for another year of the Okawville High School cheer team! This cheer season has four seniors, two juniors, three sophomores, and two freshmen. This year’s four seniors are Alyssa Statler, Sidney Charles, Madelyn Epplin, and Payton Meier. The two juniors are Abigail Brennfleck and Alexis Jarden. The three sophomores are Julia Helbig, Bella Muniz, and Addysen Rennegarbe. The two freshmen are Tessa Frantz and Annabelle Herzig. Lastly, our introduction to the new team is the coach, Kaly Hue.
This year the cheer team will have more additions and changes to some of the classic cheers. Also, don’t forget to check out the Okawville Wheat Fest Parade cheer team. They will attend it and the Mardi Gras Parade with the OHS band. They will also perform at the school pep rally with the classics, school song, and Sloopy! We are very excited to see what this year’s cheer season will bring!
