On September 18, Okawville High School had a blood drive, sponsored by Student Council. Student Council members worked the drive during their homerooms and study halls. Camy Wiedwilt, Claire Dulle, and Caroline Tepe were able to supervise the drive all day.
The blood drive was very successful. Student Council sponsor, Mrs. Dressler, shared the results of the drive. She said, “ [There were] 37 units of blood collected, 16 students gave.”
Brecklyn Rennegarbe gave her thoughts about donating blood. She said, “It made me feel like a good person because I was able to help a few people.”
The next blood drive will occur in Luechtefeld Gym on March 17, 2025.
