The season is coming to an end for the boys’ golf team. On September 24, the boys played at home against Freeburg and lost, shooting a 168. Parker Wiese shot a 37, Teren Schwankhaus shot a 39, Braylen Turner shot a 43, Hayden Heintz shot a 49, Caleb Hagarty shot a 51, and Reid Hemann shot a 68.
Then, on September 25, the boys had their conference tournament at Carlyle. As a team, the boys shot a 334, getting 2nd place. Parker Wiese shot a 72, Hayden Heintz shot an 83, Teren Schwankhaus shot an 87, Braylen Turner shot a 92, Caleb Hagarty shot a 97, and Reid Hemann shot a 98. The boys had regionals on Wednesday, October 2.
The season is also ending for the girls’ golf team. The girls had their conference tournament on September 16. The girls got 2nd as a team and shot 352. Kaylie Behreman shot a 79, Bella Muniz shot an 86, Lilly Cragen shot a 90, Kaylyn Cragen shot a 97, Delaney Kuhn shot a 99, and Lily Helbig shot a 115. Kaylie got 3rd place and Bella got 5th place.
Then, on September 30, the girls had a match at Marissa against New Athens, Marissa, and Steeleville. Okawville beat all three teams, shooting an 181. Kaylie and Bella shot a 42, Lilly C. shot a 44, Lily H. shot a 52, and Delaney shot a 57. The girls have regionals on Tuesday, October 1.
