Junior Lady Rocket basketball celebrates their 8th-graders

On Monday the 7, the Jr. Lady Rockets played their last regular season game.  It was also our 8th-grade night, which meant that the 8th graders, Ellie Frederking, Hannah Miller, Kylie Buehler, Briley Rhodes, Jordyn Heckert, and Macie Staley played their last regular season game in Jr. High.  The gym was decorated with streamers and some balloons. Each 8th grader was presented with a gift before the game.

The game was not a really close game. The Rockets gained the lead early in the game, and kept the lead the whole game.  Although the game was not a very close game, it was a very rough game though. There were lots of fouls from both teams. The Jr. Rockets got a win for their 8th grade night. That means that they went undefeated for their regular season.

I asked 8th grader Ellie Frederking, “How do you feel your season went this year?”  She said, “I think I did pretty good. I got more aggressive on the offensive and defensive ends.”  I then asked 8th grader Briley Rhodes, “How does it make you feel that you were never beaten in your 8th grade season?”  She said, “It is a good feeling and a great accomplishment. It makes me feel great that my hard work paid off.”
