Working to Better Others

On Thursday, March 28th, 2019, the American Red Cross and the OHS Student Council teamed up to host a blood drive in the Luechtefeld Gymnasium.  OHS holds two blood drives each year. One in the fall which was earlier this year, and then the one in the spring. The American Red Cross team brings their supplies while the OHS Student Council members offer drinks and snacks to the donors after they give blood.  I asked junior Marlee Frederking, who helped set up the blood drive if she enjoys working the blood drive.  She replied, “I love working the blood drive and I always do!” Frederking also mentioned that there were about 45 donors this spring which is about 10 more than the fall!  OHS always has a good turnout and great volunteers and helpers!
