Many of our JR.High track runners have qualified for state. This included three 8th graders and four 7th graders.  The three 8th graders were Hayden Shubert who qualified for the long jump. Maci Wolf who made it for the high jump and the 200 meter dash.  Grant Schleifer who advanced for the mile and the 800 meter dash. The four 7th graders were Madi Wienstroer for the 400 meter dash and the 4×400 relay.  Adysen Harre for the 800 meter dash and the 4×400 relay. Kylie Going for the 400 meter dash and the 4×400 relay. Lydia luechtefeld for the 4×400 relay. This is the second year in a row the 4×400 relay team has made it to state. 

I asked a couple members of the track team who made it to state questions.  I asked Lydia Luechtefeld how she felt about making it to state. She replied with “I am really excited to run with my friends.”  I asked Grant Schleifer what he was most excited about for state. He answered “Getting here for my first time.” The team will run at state May 11.  Good luck runners!
