The Jr. Lady Rocket softball team started their season with a win against Freeburg at home. They were able to beat Freeburg in four innings with a final score of 15-0. For the  Jr. Lady Rocket’s second game they played Wesclin at home. They lost that game 7-5. Jr. Lady Rocket 8th grader, Adysen Harre said, “We got too comfortable with a 5-0 lead and ended up losing it.” The Jr. Lady Rocket’s third game was also played at home against Carlyle. 8th grader Alayna Kraus said, “We are doing pretty good on the field and are making some good plays. I feel like our good behavior on and off the field has kept our team up. Our batting has been pretty good but we have our ups and downs from that. Our coaches and parents have done a lot to put us where we are now.” They were able to beat Carlyle 5-1. Their record is now 2-1 going into the Centralia tournament this weekend.
