Lady Rocket Cross Country begins Season

The girls’ Cross Country team had a really good start to their season. They started the season off with the New Athens invitationals. Megan Cook got 3rd with the time of 20:39, Chloe Tepe got 9th with the time of 22:28, Cindy got 11th with the time of 22:35, Megan Rennegarbe got 36th with the time of 24:54, Amy Koch got 65th with the time of 27:22, Madison Frazer got 87th with the time of 30:21, and Tricia Rennegarbe got 102nd with the time of 35:46. The second meet of the season was held at Edwardsville. This meet is one of the toughest meets that Okawville goes to. The course was slippery and muddy all throughout. Megan Cook got 10th with the time of 21:39, Chloe Tepe got 42nd with the time of 23:50, Cindy got 44th with the time of 23:51, Megan got 144th with the time of 27:10, Madison Frazer got 252nd with the time of 33:09, and Tricia Rennegarbe got 270th with the time of 37:37. Manager Raegan says, “The Edwardsville course is tough with a lot of hills but the team overcame it and did well.”
