Starting on September 4th, the Lady Rockets volleyball team had a Labor Day Tournament in New Athens that lasted until September 6th. Their first games were on Wednesday the 4th and they played against Pinckneyville and New Athens. They sadly lost both of the games. On Thursday, the 5th, they played one game against Steelville. They won the first game, lost the second but lost the third by 3 points. On Friday, the 6th, the Lady Rockets played their final games of the tournament, against Wesclin and Steelville. The first game against Wesclin was a very close game leading into the 3rd match but sadly losing by 1. The final game was against Steelville. This was a very good game that also led to a 3rd match. The 3rd match was extremely close but the Lady Rockets pulled out a win in the end.
