Girls’ Golf Season Begins

The Okawville Jr. Sr. High School girls’ first golf match was against Mascoutah and Gibault. They placed 2nd with the team’s overall score being 211. The girls who played that match were Chloe Kraus with a score of 42, Amy Koch with 59, Katelyn Alvis with 52, Avery Killion with 58, and Erin Nilles with 69. Chloe Kraus was the medalist of their first match. Two other fellow golfers went to watch the match and said, “It was nice to go watch the match because this is my first year and I did not have a clue on what to do, it was a great learning experience.”

The girls have had 3 matches since. They have played at the Nashville Invitational and got 4th with the team’s score being 210. Another match was the Belleville West Tourney and it was an 18 hole match with a score of 422. The latest match was at Nashville Municipal and placed 2nd with a team score of 204.
