On Sunday, October 31, seven groups of high school Student Council members went trick-or-treating for canned goods, all donated by the citizens of not only Okawville but nearby towns as well. The seven groups went to each neighborhood and nearby towns including Venedy, St. Libory, Meadowlands, Obercreek, Spring Valley, OCYA, and Twin Oaks to collect any type of preserved food to distribute the goods to families in need in the community. After a successful night, it is estimated the Student Council collected over 500 cans. The Student Council has been doing this event for many years and will continue to do so to further benefit the community and its citizens.
