As the Varsity Lady Rockets Volleyball team heads into their last week of regular season, they capture a tough win on the road over the New Athens Lady Yellow Jackets on Wednesday night. The Lady Rockets won in two sets with a score of 25-15 in the first set and 25-20 in the second. On Thursday night, the Lady Rockets were back at it with another conference game. The Varsity Lady Rockets faced Carlyle for Okawville’s senior night. Being recognized for their last volleyball game on their home court were Brecklyn Rennegarbe, Aubrey Krieger, Jaelyn Going, and Rylan Senior. The Lady Rockets went into the first set strong, beating the Lady Indians 25-17. The second set was a hard battle, but Carlyle took the win 26-2. The final set ended up in the Lady Indian’s favor 25-21, taking the win over the Lady Rockets. This week, the Lady Rockets head into postseason play.
