On Monday, November 3, the high school girls’ basketball team officially started its season. After asking Coach Bower about how she feels about the season, she said, “Excited to see the potential we have. Expectations are high!” This year, the team consists of (seniors) Caroline Tepe, Kate Borrenpohl, Carly Schmidt, Lily Helbig, (juniors) Addison Hasheider, Brynn Rhodes, Kenley Hackstadt, Jilien Harre, Schae Juenger, (sophomores) Elly Hesker, Emma Hokeness, Sophia Going, Taylor Statler, (freshman) Lydia Waltrip, Peyton Harris, Emmerson Hasheider, Josephine Schmersahl, Olivia Bergmann, Brooklyn Meier, and Lily Gass. This year, the Lady Rockets are adding a freshman/sophomore team back into their basketball program. The program has also added Travis Kuhn to the program to coach the freshman/sophomore team. As of right now, there are five games and a tournament on the freshman/sophomore schedule. The Lady Rockets will have their annual soda scrimmage on Sunday, November 16. Their official games will begin on November 20 at the Nashville Thanksgiving Tournament. Hope to see you there, and good luck to the Lady Rockets on a good season!
