The FFA National Convention was last week, from October 29th to November 1st, but Okawville students only attended on the 29th and 30th. The 12 students who went from Okawville went to Indianapolis, where the event is located. The 12 students were Kate Borrenpohl, Lane Borrenpohl, Abby Brennfleck, Andrew Bunch, James d’Entremont, Katie Gogolek, Lily Helbig, Clayton Hermanns, Izzy Howard, Owen Lairson, Braxton Rennegarbe, and Jackson Rennegarbe. National Convention is an FFA annual event where thousands of members gather for general sessions, leadership and career development events, workshops, to be recognized for outstanding achievements, and more. Our students had a wonderful time learning so many new things. They did a variety of events, from the NCAA Hall of Fame to the Three Hills Rodeo. It was a big learning experience for the kids and a great way to meet new people from all over the country.
