On April 21, the Okawville FFA went to Maple Hill Farms to teach little kids about agriculture with the Washington County Farm Bureau. The FFA students who went were Lily Helbig, Abby Brennfleck, Kate Borrenpohl, Lane Borrenpohl, Clayton Hermanns, Bryce Albers, Katie Gogolek, Brenden Heizer, Mallory Epplin, Khloe Geppert, and Braxton Rennegarbe. Each FFA student was split up into group leaders, readers, and helpers at the petting zoo. The schools that came to Maple Hill Farms were kindergarten through second grade from Nashville Grade School, Immanuel Lutheran School, and Oakdale Grade School. Each class was split up into five groups and was able to learn what food cows eat, how they are milked, where they sleep, tractor safety, and at the end, each class got to enjoy a hay ride as well as enjoy some ice cream.
