James d’Entremont, a member of the Okawville FFA chapter, was the winner of the Landscape Application State proficiency award. Illinois FFA gives awards to students in forty-eight different areas based on their work-based learning, also known as Supervised Agricultural Experiences or SAE. FFA members who demonstrate the best record-keeping and leadership are recognized and given an award. He was selected as the State Winner by a committee of agriculture industry representatives and teachers knowledgeable in this work-based area. He will receive plaques for his accomplishments and be celebrated for this great achievement at the 98th Illinois FFA State Convention, June 9 – 11, 2026. This is a great accomplishment for Okawville FFA as a whole, and we are very proud of James.
