On Monday, November 10, the Varsity Lady Rockets ended their historic season at the Wayne City Super Sectional Finals against a talented Norris City-Omaha-Enfield team. In the first set, the Lady Rockets had some nerves and lost 10-25. Going into the second set, Okawville was not going down without a fight, but neither were the Lady Cardinals. After many tough rallies and once again many extra points, the Varsity Lady Rockets ended their amazing season 29-31 against the Varsity Norris City Lady Cardinals. As the Varsity Lady Rockets end their incredible season, there are many things to be proud of. Some highlights of the 2025 season include having a 27-13 overall game record, being 3rd in their conference (5-5 conference game record), winning the annual New Athens Labor Day tournament for the first time, winning the regional championship for the second time in school history, winning the sectional title for the first time in school history, and competing in the super sectional finals for the first time in school history. Great season, Lady Rockets!
