On December 6, the Spanish club took a trip to the zoo to see the fabulous zoo lights at the St. Louis Zoo. They had two hours to walk around and look at the lights that were put up. There weren’t many animals out since it was night and they were sleeping, but the penguin exhibit was open with the live penguins swimming around. There was a meet and greet with Santa in the stingray house. Kids could go up to him and tell him what they wanted for Christmas. Also, there was a make-your-own-snow-globe station by the polar bears where anyone could make one during their visit. After a while, when everyone was hungry, they ate at the Lake Side Cafe to fill up and stopped by the Starbucks to try their seasonal drinks. The Spanish Club had a wonderful time and is ready to do it again next year.
