On January 17, the Lady Rockets started the Highland Tournament, playing their first game against the Chatham Glenwood Lady Titans. In the first quarter, the Lady Titans outscored the Lady Rockets 14-6. Going into the locker room, the Lady Rockets trailed by 12 to the Lady Titans. The Lady Rockets tried to fight back in the second half, but were outscored 24-12 in the third and fourth quarters combined, resulting in a final score of 53-29, with Glenwood coming out on top. The leading scorers were Brynn Rhodes and Josephine Schmersahl, each with 8 points. Also contributing was Addison Hasheider with 6 points and 8 rebounds, Carly Schmidt, Kate Borrenpohl, and Peyton Harris each scored 2, and Kenley Hackstadt had 1 point.
On January 19, the Lady Rockets played their second game in the tournament against a tough Edwardsville team. In the first quarter, Okawville brought the heat, outscoring the Lady Tigers by 10. In the second quarter, the Lady Tigers took over, outscoring the Lady Rockets 13-7. Although the Lady Rockets were outscored in the second, they still had a 4-point lead over the Lady Tigers at the half. Coming out of the locker room at the half, both teams were ready to battle, with Edwardsville only outscoring Okawville by 2. Going into the fourth, the Lady Rockets still held a 2-point lead over Edwardsville. In the fourth quarter, both teams went back and forth the entire quarter, but Okawville came out on top with a 52-49 victory over Edwardsville, sending them to the consolation championship semi-finals. The leading scorer was Rhodes with 21 points. Also scoring was Schae Juenger with 11, Schmersahl with 9, Hackstadt with 6, Hasheider with 4 points and 10 rebounds, and Taylor Statler had 1 point.
On January 21, the Lady Rockets competed in the consolation championship semi-finals against the Highland Lady Bulldogs. The first quarter ended with both teams tied up with 7. In the second quarter, the Lady Bulldogs took control, outscoring the Lady Rockets by six, and the score at halftime was 21-15. Coming back after the half, the Lady Rockets scored 9 points compared to Highland’s 13. In the fourth quarter, Okawville fell behind, being outscored by 8, resulting in a final score of 47-29, with Highland coming out on top and causing the Lady Rockets to be eliminated from the tournament. The leading scorer was Schmersahl with 10 points. Also contributing were Hasheider with 8, Rhodes with 5, Statler with 4 points and 6 rebounds, and Emmerson Hasheider with 2 points.
