On Friday, February 13th, the Okawville Rockets faced off against the Wesclin Warriors.
The game started with Wesclin taking the lead, scoring 14 in the first quarter; the Rockets were only trailing by a few points, scoring 9 in the first quarter. The Rockets continued to trail behind the Warriors for the rest of the first half, but still stayed only a few points behind. At the start of the second half, the Rockets came out strong, scoring 15 points and ending the third quarter only down by 2. However, in the final quarter, the Rockets were not able to come back and were defeated by the Warriors 52-46. The Rockets’ leading scorer of the game was Braylen Turner with 16 points. Also contributing to the Rockets’ score were Ryker Obermeier with 11, Ayden Foley with 9, Landen Shubert with 6, and Zayden Cepeda with 4.
