On April 8, the seniors gave back to the community as a thank you for all they do for us. From 8:30-10:30, the students all helped clean up at their designated spot. Once they got done around 10:30, the students reported back to school and then loaded up on a bus to go to the OCYA park to have a fun day and BBQ at the park. Michael Marler, Jack Schuetz, Landen Shubert, James d’Entrement, and Ryker Obermeier all worked at the OCYA park and painted the bathrooms. Rylan Senior, Emma Borgmann, and Brecklyn Rennegarbe all helped at the Okawville Police Department. Jaelyn Going, Arrianna Birchard, Kayla Crouch, and Braxton Rennegarbe cleaned and rolled up hoses at the Addieville Fire Department. Lizee Jannet, Taylor Bingheim, and Alannah White raked leaves at the Community Club. Jacob Ellison, Ryan Schwab, Judah Hurst, Carly Schmidt, and Aubrey Krieger picked up trash along the interstate for the Village of Okawville. Eva Tooley, Lexi Jarden, and Abby Brennfleck helped out at the Heritage House. Zander Hasheider, Ares Sauerhage, and Eric Segelhorst helped clean at the Okawville Senior Center. Lily Helbig, Caroline Tepe, Kate Borrenpohl, Maddie Rennegarbe, and Mady Donoho all helped sweep and mop the floors at the Okawville Fire Department. It was a great day for the seniors to all hang out together and just enjoy helping out in the community.Â
