On Thursday, April 23, the Okawville JH track team had a meet at Mater Dei High School. Coleson Hasheider placed 8th in the middle school 100-meter dash. Jayleigh Cooley placed 1st, Leann Waltrip placed 9th, Jolee Maynard placed 15th, and Aubrey Charles placed 16th in the JH 100-meter dash. In the middle school 200-meter dash, Mary Klie placed 9th. In the middle school 200-meter dash, Jayleigh Cooley placed 4th, Leann Waltrip placed 8th, Jolee Maynard placed 18th, and Lydia Stine placed 19th. Jayliegh Cooley placed 5th, and Aubrey Charles placed 8th in the 400-meter dash. In the 800-meter dash, Emma Grey placed 6th, Sadie Bergmann placed 9th, and Cambrie Hesker placed 10th. Emma Grey placed 3rd, and Cambrie Hesker placed 4th in the 1600-meter run. Leann Waltrip placed 4th in the 100-meter hurdles. The girls’ 4×100 relay team placed 6th. The girls’ 4×200 team placed 7th. The girls’ 4×400 team placed 3rd. For field events, Leann Waltrip placed 4th, and Coleson Hasheider placed 8th in shot put. In discus, Jolee Maynard placed 3rd, and Lydia Stine placed 6th. In the high jump, Emma Grey placed 1st. Jayliegh Cooley placed 2nd, and Coleson Hasheider placed 6th in the long jump. The girls’ overall score was 33 points for 3rd place.
In the middle school 100-meter dash, Oliver Crane placed 13th. Isaiah Dawson placed 7th, Cole Matlock placed 9th, Kyle Bollmeier placed 14th, Ryan Ronsick placed 15th, and Jonah Loy placed 16th in the JH 100-meter dash. Ryan Ronsick placed 6th, and Jonah Loy placed 12th in the middle school 200-meter dash. Isaish Dawson placed 7th, and Cole Matlock placed 14th in the JH 200-meter dash. In the 400-meter dash, Kyle Bollmeier placed 3rd, and Jonah Loy placed 11th. In the 800-meter run, Caden Capecchi placed 4th, Oliver Crane placed 8th, and Jonah Loy placed 9th. Caden Capecchi placed 4th, Ryan Ronsick placed 7th, and Oliver Crane placed 8th in the 1600-meter run. The boys’ 4×100 team placed 5th. Caden Capecchi placed 7th in shot put. Cole Matlock placed 7th, and Oliver Crane placed 12th in the long jump. The boys’ overall score was 7 points for 4th place.
