Four Okawville students participated in ILMEA on Saturday, November 22, at Belleville West High School. The students who participated in ILMEA were Eva Tooley (12th grade), Ellie Simonton (9th grade), Jolee Maynard (8th grade), and Sawyer Galliano (8th grade). Eva Tooley made the Senior Treble Choir, Ellie Simonton made the High School Band, Jolee Maynard made the Junior Treble Choir, and Sawyer Galliano made the Junior High Band.
ILMEA stands for Illinois Music Education Association. These Okawville students auditioned for ILMEA back in October. They all worked very hard to get where they are right now, and we want to congratulate them on going this far with their talents.
