The 8th-grade girls’ basketball team had their conference tournament at Mater Dei against Bartelso on December 9th. They were ranked 4th overall in the tournament. The final score of the first game was 36-23. They defeated Barteso by 13 points. The Rockets played again on December 12, against Albers. They beat the Albers Cougars, making them play in the championship game the following day. On December 13, the girls’ basketball team faced the Aviston Eagles. The 8th-grade team had lost to Aviston before, so they knew they needed to play hard. The 8th-grade team ultimately lost to Aviston in the conference championship. Congratulations to the Jr. Lady Rockets on their second-place finish.
