The Okawville JH boys had eighth-grade night on Thursday, the 22nd. The eighth graders include Paxton Lehde, Jayden Willis, Kyle Bollmeier, and the manager, Alexander Salazar-Medina. These boys will be missed on the basketball team next year, but we wish them the best through the rest of their 8th-grade season. The JH Boys played Wesclin Middle School at Okawville and lost 73-50.
The Okawville JH girls cheer team also had their eighth-grade night. The eighth graders, Evelynn Mueller, Aubrey Charles, Brinley Kohnen, and Bobbi-Jo White, will be greatly missed next season. Each eighth-grade cheerleader received a flower and a gift. The girls pumped up the crowd with many crowd cheers, including a requested one named “peanut butter in a cup” on Thursday, the 22nd. The JH cheerleaders had a great season, and we wish them the best of luck for their future years.
