On Monday, October 27th, our school hosted a guest speaker, Brittany Richmond. She goes to different schools to teach them that you never know what’s going on in someone’s life. Our school was her third stop of the day! Brittany talked to our students about being an overcomer and taught our students three simple words: “Tell me more.” Tell me more can simply help someone express their feelings when they are going through a hard time. She had a bunch of activities to show what saying three simple words, “tell me more,” can do. She had students find a partner and start off with a simple topic, which eventually led to them venting to each other about much deeper topics. Brittany helps people become overcomers because of her experiences in high school and adulthood. Every day, she came to school or work with a smile on her face, even though she had issues happening in her personal life.
